About
Supporting swimmers, powered by our community
Beverley Barracudas began in 2006 at East Riding Leisure Centre, Beverley,
and has been growing ever since. We’re here to help young swimmers
aged 7–18 discover their love of the sport, develop their skills, and enjoy
the excitement of competitive swimming.
Growing Together
We’re proud that some of our swimmers have gone on to compete at the British Championships — and who knows, maybe the Olympics in the future!
With over 150 competitive swimmers and growing, Beverley Barracudas is a vibrant, welcoming club. We’re excited about the future and are expanding pool time to give even more young people the opportunity to dive in and shine.
Our club is run entirely by volunteers
who care deeply about swimming and about giving every child the chance to be the best they can be — whether that means racing at county, regional, or even national level.
Safeguarding
is at the heart of everything we do. We follow Swim England’s Wavepower guidance to keep every swimmer safe and supported. All our coaches, teachers, and poolside helpers are DBS-checked and trained in swimmer welfare.
Our coaching team
is made up of dedicated volunteers who share a passion for swimming and for helping children learn, improve, and have fun. From Club Start all the way through to our Regional and National squads, we use consistent methods so that every swimmer has the best chance to grow and succeed.

Welcome
from our Chair
Welcome to Beverley Barracudas, a competitive swimming club open to all swimmers. Our aim is to help everyone in the Beverley area with an eye on competition achieve their best—whether progressing into the competitive squad, reaching county times at the Yorkshire Championships, or pushing for national accolades.
We’re here to support every swimmer who wants to be involved, and to create a pathway for success at every level.
